Tasmania is unbelievable barren and empty, it’s the best place to live if you want to be off-grid.
Even while flying in I could see miles of empty fields, forests, and lakes, with no sign of human development. It’s a real rarity to see something like that these days.
We drove from Hobart to Bridport then trickled our way back down; hitting the Bay of Fires and Wineglass Bay. We stayed with family friends and I saw my friend I lived with in Byron Bay, I hadn’t seen in her months. It was so great to reconnect and spend time together sitting outside on the patio with her family, sipping rum and cokes and staring at the stars. It was so inspiring to spend time around people who truly live off the grid, who have built their homes stone by stone and follow no rule but their own.
It made me want to travel forever and ever…
